Introduction
This will assist people who want to get started
libre sbc
installing image
First download the image
at time of writing
aml-s905x-cc-ubuntu-xenial-linux-libretech-4.13.3-g5bb7f41-2017-09-21.img.xz
it can be download from the main page under Computer image downloads
then extract the image
aml-s905x-cc-ubuntu-xenial-linux-libretech-4.13.3-g5bb7f41-2017-09-21.img
MAC and linux
Insert an sdcard into a suitable adaptor then insert into computer.
Open a command prompt at the location where the extracted file is located and type the following:
diskutil list
this will display a list of drives and partitions like this
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: FDisk_partition_scheme *31.9 GB disk3
1: Windows_FAT_32 NO NAME 31.9 GB disk3s1
more this way -->
take note of the disk under IDENTIFIER in this case it is 'disk3' it will vary on your system.
at the command prompt type:
diskutil unmountDisk /dev/disk3
replace disk3 with the drive listed above
this will unmount the drive so it can be used
at the command prompt type:
sudo dd if=aml-s905x-cc-ubuntu-xenial-linux-libretech-4.13.3-g5bb7f41-2017-09-21.img of=/dev/disk3 bs=1M
replace disk3 with the drive listed above
this will transfer the image to the sdcard it takes some time about 5 minutes so be patient.

Windows
it would be a similar procedure to the mac linux version
Boot up
Remove the sdcard from adaptor and Insert it into libre computer and power it up.
Login
The default login credentials are as follows:
Username: libre
Password: computer
